The Leprosy Mission
The Leprosy Mission is an NGO based in London that strives to achieve their vision of "leprosy defeated, lives transformed".
I worked as in intern in The Leprosy Mission's HR department from January 2021 - April 2021. My internship was originally intended to be a study abroad opportunity in London; however, it was converted to a virtual internship because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

During my time at TLM, I completed three main tasks: website renovation, employee newsletters, and the end of the year employee survey report for management. My largest and most impactful job was writing over 30 new pages for their website renovation. I was tasked with updating and re-writing their country pages, pages outlining all of their branches across the world. I described the history and current projects of the TLM branch in each country, along with any relevant political or leprosy contexts.
Along with the country pages, I also wrote several Leprosy Champion stories, stories highlighting a "leprosy champion" who overcame the stigma and limitations of their disease to do amazing things for their communities. I wrote the stories of Tharshika, Manpati, Armando, and Samir.

Tharshika, one of the Leprosy Champions.
My final internship task at TLM involved quantifying their end of the year employee engagement survey results into a comprehensive report for management review. Topics addressed in the survey included employee satisfaction with benefits, stress management, and the performance of management. My work gave the management a broad overview of what was going well and where they have room to improve. You can view my report below.
