"An Autopsy of the Autopsy Room"
"An Autopsy of the Autopsy Room" at Greenville Memorial Hospital Morgue serves as the main project I completed during my time as an intern. More than anything, my family and friends wanted to know exactly what I did every day and how we executed each autopsy. Where I worked and what I did on a daily basis was such a mystery to everyone in my life.
While I can't show the actual autopsy process, I figured a tour of the space, tools, and supplies could give pretty good insight into what happens everyday in the morgue. I chose a simple layout to make the project feel cold and sterile, similar to the autopsy room itself.
Creating this project related to my third internship goal of understanding the complex autopsy process and the structure of the morgue itself. The techs and pathologists use each tool for a very specific job and portion of the autopsy. My ability to explain the purpose of each tool and item in the morgue demonstrates my understanding of the autopsy process and structure of the morgue. Please see my project below!
